I have been taking the Real Estate Development and Entrepreneurship course since August 2021, after graduating from the University of Florida. The main reason I took this course is because I wanted to take advantage of the entrepreneurial mindset. There are many ways to learn about entrepreneurship, but only a few methods that actually work. In addition, I also wanted to develop my entrepreneurial skills, which I believe are very important if you want to succeed in the real estate market. Of course, anyone can take up an online course and take my exam for me? Why would I need to take one when there are free online resources where I can learn everything I need to know without spending any money?
The best way to learn about real estate is by hands-on experience. By taking the HAT 680 course, I have been able to gain practical experience in real estate development and entrepreneurship. I have been able to overcome many challenges and obtain great success as a result. This is the only university that gives full credits towards a degree in real estate without having to pay for anything.
The course consists of eight units that take approximately four weeks to complete. My favorite part of the course was the consulting interview. This allowed me to apply the theories I learned through my real estate internship and prepare for the licensing examination. There are other parts of the course that I think are interesting, but overall, it was the consulting the interviews that really stood out to me.
You can imagine the number of hours I spent studying to prepare for this test. Every night, I would come up with strategies to study and review for the test. During the final exam, I reviewed everything again, just to make sure that I did not miss anything important. I believe this will be the first step to obtaining a real estate license in Florida.
When I think about all of the hours and effort I put into this program, it makes me realize how lucky I am to have been able to take a refresher course like this. Now I know what to study and what questions to expect on the actual exam. Although my friends who also have licenses did not take this extra step, they also paid close attention to the study guide and worked very hard to prepare for the test. So what steps should you take to prepare for your own business licensing exams?
First, if you do not already have a business license, do some research to find out if you need one. Some cities require an investment of at least five hundred dollars to open a business, so if you do not have this amount of money available, you may want to reconsider opening your own business. If you are looking at real estate franchising as a way to get started, consider taking a refresher course before starting your company. There are several companies online that offer courses in franchising real estate. You can learn about franchise laws and learn how other successful companies were developed.
Second, if you do have a business license, then the next step is to learn what is required to take the exam. There are several books available to help you learn the different sections of the exam, including the Real Estate Franchise Disclosure and Agreement, Financial Accounting Principles and Reporting, and Business Development and Accounting Principles. You can choose which book you will take and then review it with a friend or coworker. If you feel more comfortable studying online, you can take practice tests that will help you prepare for the real exam. If you follow these two simple tips, you will be well prepared when it comes time for the Real Estate Development and Entrepreneurship examination.
