Some of the best resources I found to help me prepare for my online project management exams were books and DVDs. I looked through a couple of different books and DVDs before I made a decision on which one to take. My final choice was The Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK). It’s a great book and DVD to use because it breaks down the various sections of the exam in an easy to understand fashion. I highly recommend it if you want to learn a lot about the topic and have a great time doing so.
After I got the book and DVDs, I began practicing. This was something that I had been lacking in the past. I started online project management and implemented some of the strategies from the PMBOK book and DVD. This made the exam more manageable and helped me focus. As a result, I ended up passing the test easily.
You can also take some practice tests and study guides that are designed to help you memorize and get ready for the exam. There are a couple of them out there. My favorite is the ones that offer memorization tricks and tips to make the process easier. They’re free, so I don’t see why you shouldn’t use them.
One of the keys to passing the exam is taking the time to prepare. You need to understand what will be required of you, and you also need to know what kind of preparation is required for you to do well. If you want to pass your online project management certification, you need to dedicate a significant amount of time to studying and practicing. However, it’s not only the studying and practice, but also the actual exam that you have to get right.
I did quite a lot of research before I took my online project management certification test. I learned a lot about the course itself and about managing projects in general. In addition, I read PMP glossaries and tried to memorize as many words and definitions as I could. It paid off: I passed with flying colours!
Don’t underestimate how important it is for you to prepare. You won’t get the job done without doing lots of practice and studying. You should definitely invest in learning how to take an exam, but don’t neglect to take care of other aspects of your life whilst you are preparing.
The best thing that I can recommend to people who want to take their project management exams is not to do everything on your own. Although this may help some, it is rarely helpful. There are plenty of resources available online that can really make the whole process much easier, including practice tests, guides and test-specific tips and hints. I highly recommend you try them out!
There are also many excellent courses available at the moment. A quick Google search will list hundreds of courses in all disciplines. Some are really complete and provide for comprehensive examinations that cover everything you need to know, others aren’t so thorough and only cover a few key areas. So, it really depends on what you are hoping to achieve.
There are even online schedulers that allow you to set reminders and set exams for yourself. This way you never miss anything, and you always know exactly when you need to study. If you are taking an exam for your certificate, this could really help. If you are taking a course or an exam for your PMP licence, this will be useful as well. However, the best method is to do everything in one go by using a reliable scheduler.
By using one of these schedulers you can take your study at any time of the day or night, from anywhere in the world. You don’t have to worry about your family distracting you, and you can learn in the quiet of your own home. I have used one of these tools before and found it very effective. With the many benefits this type of tool offers, there is no reason why anyone shouldn’t use them to help them prepare for their online project management exam. The sooner they do, the more prepared they will be.
