“How will you take my city examination for you?” I hear you ask. A few months ago, I was asked this same question by a university admission officer at another college. While I fully understand that this type of examination is designed to determine whether or not you possess the necessary skills required to gain admittance into the school of your choice, I also understand that it can also be quite a stressful experience if I do not prepare myself adequately.

The truth of the matter, however, is that I do not have to take any city university admission examination to get into the school of my choice. In fact, I will never have to take one. However, I do have to work hard to prepare myself for these examinations and I am going to give you some valuable advice about how you can do this effectively and efficiently. First of all, I want to make sure you understand that an “examination” is not synonymous with “quizzes.” Many people are confused because they see an exam and automatically assume that it is a quiz. This is not the case. In fact, the two types of exams are quite different and, when used in conjunction, will produce exactly the same result.

So, now that you know exactly what an exam is, how will you know if you have the appropriate skills for college life? The simple answer is: Study! If you do not take adequate studying before the exam and then cannot answer every question correctly, you will not pass! Of course, no one has ever studied before taking the exam for them to realize this fact, but the simple fact is that you must have some study skills before taking the exam for you to be successful.

How will you study? Most people begin by taking the MCAT exam, which is a standardized test that will determine whether or not you meet the minimum score required to enter into a specific city university. You should never try to “over-simply” study because you will not likely come out ahead. Rather, you should start very slowly and work your way up. You should not attempt to take the test multiple times because this will cause a tremendous amount of unnecessary delays. Rather, focus on answering the two or three questions at a time, answering the easy questions first and then tackling the tougher ones as you progress through the test.

You will want to learn as much about the area of study as possible. This means that you should spend a significant amount of time researching the history of the city university, the professors, student and faculty activities, location, and so forth. When you take this time to learn the information, you will be able to review the skills you learned and determine how much time you will need to prepare for the next section of the exam. You will be able to determine the best preparation schedule by reviewing the time spent on each section, the difficulty of each section and the number of questions in each section.

Why do urban systems take so long to study? The reason that it takes so long to review the material for an exam is that you need to remember everything you have learned. The faster you can recall the material the better it will be for your chances of passing the exam. Once you have reviewed the material for the exam, then it will be time for the real practice test.

Are there any sample tests on the internet? It is highly likely that there are online practice tests and even mock tests available for the test. These tests will give you a good idea of how the questions are going to be formatted. They will also give you a good idea of how confident you feel about your skills so you can increase your confidence when taking the actual exam. If you take the time to review what you have learned then there should not be as many problems. Take your time to learn what is required for passing the exam.
